Job summary

Old Wisconsin Sausage is hiring a Material Handler for the 2nd shift at the Sheboygan, WI facility. The role involves receiving materials, managing inventory, data entry, and maintaining plant organization to support production and quality standards.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, verifying materials, cycle counts, and coordinating with vendors. The candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, Class A license, and forklift certification, with basic English literacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or 1–3 months of related experience.
• Must have Class A driver’s license and Lift Truck Certification.
• Ability to print and speak simple English; basic reading of words and numbers.
• Basic arithmetic (two-digit addition/subtraction, multiplication/division with tens/hundreds).
• Ability to follow simple instructions and handle routine tasks.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks.
• Verify incoming materials.
• Data entry and AS/400 inventory management.
• Maintain plant organization.
• Participate in month-end inventory.
• Manage materials across locations; release from vendors.
• Issue purchase orders; perform cycle counts.
• Ensure safe, quality food production; report issues to QA.
