Job summary

Aptar Italia S.P.A. in McHenry, IL, is hiring a Material Handler for the C shift (6:45pm–7:00am) Sun, Mon, Tue, with alternating Sat. Starting at $18.50/hr plus a $2.00/hr shift differential, with comprehensive benefits. You will support material flow and operate in a 12-hour rotating schedule.

Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining material systems, setting up equipment, managing inventory, and completing SAP/Mobisys transactions where required.

Qualifications

• Duties require ability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks for material systems.
• Ability to monitor inventory and prepare materials for production.
• Familiarity with SAP and Mobisys transactions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains all material system filters daily.
• Cleans hoppers, grinders, blenders, regrind bins and colorant lines.
• Set-up of auxiliary equipment and perform minor preventive maintenance.
• Color changes on molding machines and filling of bins.
• Pull, weigh and return materials; monitor inventory on the floor.
• Complete SAP/Mobisys transactions for materials.

Material Handler - Night Shift (12-hour rotating shift with $2.00/hr shift differential)

Shift: C Shift, 6:45pm - 7:00am (Sun, Mon, Tues + every other Sat)

• Cleans and maintains all material system filters daily
• Cleans hoppers, grinders, blenders, regrind bins, colorant bins and material hoses for all material/color changes
• Responsible for the hook-up and set-up of auxiliary equipment
• Performs minor preventative maintenance on some auxiliary equipment
• Performs color changes on molding machines
• Fill all surge, colorant bins and hoppers.
• Pull, weigh and return materials
• Monitor inventory of colorant, cartons, bags, pallets, tape and other supplies and supply production floor with additional supplies as needed
• Move production to the Warehouse
• Make cartons and distribute to presses as well as maintain proper number of empty cartons at each press
• Empty trash and weigh scrap daily
• Analyze and resolve material related problems
• Grind rejected production on and off the production floor
• Complete/verify necessary SAP and Mobisys transactions for all raw and finished materials

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the starting hourly rate for this role is $18.50/hr + any applicable shift differentials.
