Job summary

Altium Packaging in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Material Handler to receive, store and distribute raw materials to designated staging areas, while operating a forklift in a fast paced production environment.

You will follow safety standards, visually inspect materials for quality, prepare items for grinding, label locations, transport materials to the grinder area, keep the ramp and dock clean, and assist with overtime as needed. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating a forklift is preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to receive, unload and move inbound and outbound shipments.
• Visually inspect materials and report discrepancies in quality.
• Prepare materials for grinding and transport to designated staging areas.
• Transport and store materials, finished products and supplies to appropriate staging area and label locations.
• Maintain cleanliness of ramp, dock and surrounding areas; assist with overtime as needed.

Location Address:4239 N 39th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85019Work Shift:12hr - C Shift 7a-7:30p Phoenix (United States of America)The Material Handler receives, stores and distributes raw materials and supplies to designated staging areas.JOB SUMMARY:The Material Handler receives, stores and distributes raw materials and supplies to designated staging areas.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES:Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.Operate forklift to unload inbound and outbound shipments.Visually inspect materials and report discrepancies in quality.Prepare materials for grinding process.Transport and store materials, finished products and supplies to appropriate staging area. Report locations for proper labeling.Transport scrapped materials from production line to the grinder area.Maintain cleanliness of ramp, dock and compactor area.Other duties as assigned by managementKeep assigned work area clean and orderly and dispose of scrap material properly.Perform all work in order to ensure the safety of yourself and all other plant personnel.Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.QUALIFICATIONS:The requirements listed below are minimum requirements for the job.
