Merit Medical Systems, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to coordinate activities in the Material Handling area. Schedule includes Friday - Sunday 5:30am-5:30pm, with duties spanning coordination, training, order verification and inventory control.

The role involves working with production and inventory teams, solving issues in a clean room environment, and using forklifts and warehouse tools to ensure accurate material flow. Strong math, communication, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a High School Diploma with two years related experience.
• Ability to perform basic math and apply it to work tasks.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with others to achieve goals.
• Ability to follow written instructions and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
• Computer skills with spreadsheets, word processing or databases.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work for the Material Handlers and ensure efficient completion of assignments.
• Assist with interviewing job applicants as needed.
• Provide supervisor with performance information for evaluations and participate in reviews.
• Train Material Handlers on job responsibilities.
• Troubleshoot clean room issues by locating work orders and parts and addressing paperwork questions.
• Adjust pick lists as needed and coordinate with Production and Inventory Clerk teams.
• Verify pick lists, lot numbers and material inventories with other teams.
• Notify Planning, Purchasing and Production of material shortages and adjust production schedules.
• Organize and participate in team meetings and track data for team goals.
• Operate forklifts, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment.
• Perform cycle counts and inventories for raw materials.
• Perform other related duties as required.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

As instructed by the supervisor, provides direction and coordinates work for the Material Handling area.

SCHEDULE: Friday - Sunday 5:30am-5:30pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

• 1. Coordinates the work responsibilities for the Material Handlers, and ensures the proper and efficient completion of assignments and processes.
• 2. Assists with interviewing job applicants.
• 3. Provides supervisor employee performance information for their evaluation process and assist with the performance review.
• 4. Trains Material Handlers regarding job responsibilities.
• 5. Problem solves clean room issues by locating work orders and parts and responding to paper work questions and concerns.
• 6. Makes minor adjustments to work order pick lists.
• 7. Works with the Production and Inventory Clerk teams to verify pick lists, lot numbers and materials inventory counts.
• 8. Notifies Planning, Purchasing and Production of material shortages and responds to adjustments in production schedules.
• 9. Organizes and participates in team meetings.
• 10. Compiles and records data for team goals and management distribution.
• 11. Operates forklifts, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment.
• 12. Performs cycle counts and inventories for raw materials.
• 13. Performs other related duties and tasks as required.
