Ryder System, Inc. in Romeoville, Illinois is hiring a Stand Up Forklift Operator. You will operate a stand-up forklift with a clamp, support receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and cycle counting across our warehouse.

The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and paid training. A valid forklift license, at least one year of warehouse experience, and strong communication are required. You must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and work flexible shifts in a safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator's license/certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to work in a diverse work environment.
• Punctual with good attendance.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate a stand-up forklift with clamp attachment to move materials.
• Load, pick, pack, ship, and receive goods.
• Cycle count and inventory accuracy.
• Assist with documentation (picking sheets, bills of lading).
• Provide maintenance support for automated packing system during shift.
• Perform duties per contract performance guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Hourly Pay: $23.00 per hour
• Additional Pay: $0.75 per hour shift pay
• Schedule: A Shift -Sunday - Tuesday 6:00am - 6:00pm and Wednesday 6:00am - 12:00pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
