Job summary

Misco Products Corp. in Reading, PA is seeking a material handler responsible for transferring materials between Receiving, Production, and Distribution in a timely, accurate manner.

You will operate forklift and reach truck to move items, scan materials with RiteScan, and keep areas clean while adhering to OSHA regulations and safety protocols.

This role requires attention to detail, good communication with line leads, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift and/or reach truck certification required.
• Ability to read and follow instructions with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and/or reach truck to move materials between Receiving, Production and Distribution.
• Deliver materials to various areas in the Production Department and move skids to stock or Shipping/Receiving areas.
• Maintain clean receiving, warehouse and raw materials areas at all times.
• Use handheld scanner and forklift tablet to ensure materials are updated in the system.
• Communicate inventory status with line leads and flag shortages or overages as needed.
• Follow OSHA and other safety regulations at all times.
• Support Shipping, Receiving and Production departments as needed.

Job Summary

Responsible for the transfer of materials between Receiving, Production, and Distribution in a timely, accurate manner.

Essential Functions

• Operate forklift and/or reach truck to pick up and deliver materials to various areas in the Production Department
• Move skids and take them to stock area or Shipping/Receiving area using forklift and/or reach truck
• Follow OSHA and other safety regulations
• Physically transfer materials between warehouse, production, and distribution.
• Utilize a handheld scanner and forklift tablet to ensure material is digitally transferred into the correct location.
• Keep receiving area, warehouse, and raw materials area clean and neat at all times.
• Recognize inventory issues and notify supervisor of potential shortages/overages.
• Communicate regularly with Line Leads to provide updates on inventory availability and place jobs on hold as necessary.

Additional Responsibilities

• Keep equipment clean.
• Ability to prioritize daily responsibilities in unison with production schedule changes.
• Support Shipping, Receiving, and Production departments as needed.
• Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
