Job summary

Intuitive Surgical in Georgia is seeking a fully onsite warehouse logistics professional responsible for all phases of receipt, movement, storage, tracking and shipment of service materials and tools for field service and order fulfillment. You will work with SAP, manage cycle counts, and support daily operations.

The role requires 2–5 years of warehouse experience, experience with medical devices, ability to lift 35 pounds, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze shortages for root cause and corrective actions.

• Train in use of operations software to record/troubleshoot data; lead warehouse safety improvements per 5S.
• Train and certify material handling equipment use; audit safety inspections.

Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

This position is responsible for all phases of receipt, movement, storage, tracking, and shipment of service materials and tools required for field service and order fulfillment. Job duties include: materials transactions using SAP and trouble-shooting; perform document and reconcile inventory cycle counts; manages interfaces with delivery carriers; and facilitates support of daily service operations throughout the warehouse. Provides guidance and trains peer members of logistics team; able to independently audit processes and procedures for compliance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provides guidance and training to logistics coordinator in methods and requirements for put-away, 3rd party warehouse replenishment, FRU order fulfillment, and shipments worldwide
• Ensure timely shipment of all outbound FRU shipments to meet contractual obligations and customer requirements
• Work with customs brokers and freight forwarders to resolve import/export operational issues
• Able to provide backup to Lead / Supervisor(s) during their absence
• Able to resolve receiving and shipping issues
• Reviews shortages for root cause and corrective action problem solving
• Able to process FRU orders for domestic (U.S.) and international customers
• Able to train in use of business operations software to record and trouble-shoot data Lead projects for warehouse safety and housekeeping continuous improvement per 5S principles
• Train and certify for use of material handling (fork lift and pallet jack) equipment per policy and procedures; audit safety inspections of equipment
• Contributing member of cross-functional teams that target continuous improvements for materials management
• Maintain an excellent attendance record
• Follow all corporate, regulatory, safety policies and procedures
• Perform other projects or duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skill/Job Requirements:

In order to adequately perform the responsibilities of this position the individual must:

• Possess high school diploma, AA degree preferred
• Possess prior warehouse (2 to 5 years) or experience in all aspects of receiving, shipping, and manufacturing operations support
• Inventory management experience (cycle counts, physical inventory)
• Prior ability to audit process issues and lead project teams
• Prior medical industry experience
• Prior experience and/or certification in operating material handling equipment
• Ability to lift 35 pounds frequently each day
• Extensive walking and repetitive physical motion (squatting, bending, lifting) is required (at least 70% of hours worked)
• Clean driving record (no violations)
• Able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in completing work assignments while complying with verbal and written instructions
• Able to work at the lead level of expertise
• Prior computer experience (including MS Office products and ERP systems) preferably SAP and Agile.
• Process shipments using FedEx Ship Manager
• Knowledge of kanban systems and other lean material handling principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly customer and service focused
