Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a motivated Material Handler for the 2nd shift (2:30pm-11pm) at the Spring Forest Rd site in Raleigh, NC. The role emphasizes material planning, verification, storage and allocation to satisfy production demands.

Responsibilities include operating RF devices, moving materials, stacking kits, and maintaining inventory fidelity. Training for forklift operation and adherence to safety standards are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• 6 months experience operating material handling equipment preferred.
• Experience using SAP and warehouse management systems.
• Experience with Microsoft applications (Office, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing support including planning, verifying, storing, organizing, and allocating materials.
• Read hand-held RF units to locate, move and allocate material.
• Move material per production plan and material requests.
• Kit parts and components; distribute to production lines with accuracy.
• Maintain inventory levels and perform cycle counts.
• Load/unload trucks and inspect material for damage.
• Drive a box truck as needed up to 2-3 hours daily.
• Operate forklifts and perform 5S+ housekeeping duties.

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Material Handler - 2nd Shift - RPO to join our team at our Spring Forest Rd location in Raleigh, NC.

The pay rate for this position is $18.50 + shift differential per hour.

The core hours are 2:30pm-11pm.

What You’ll Do

The Material Handler will provide manufacturing expertise and support including but not limited to, planning, verifying, storing, organizing, and allocating materials.

In This Function You Will

• You will exhibit a strong adherence to quality by continually seeking methods of improvement for all functions of the position. You will ensure that all products and parts adequately meet Eaton’s quality guidelines as they move throughout the production process and perform quality checks as instructed.
• You will operate and read hand-held RF units to find, move and allocate material
• You will move needed material based on production plan and material requests
• You will kit parts and components; distribute to production lines with accuracy and maintain integrity of configured kits.
• You will maintain adequate inventory levels to meet the orders from our customers through daily monitoring of inventory; also perform cycle counts and maintain inventory system as required
• You will load and unload trucks and inspect material for damage
• You will report irregularities or equipment malfunctions
• Drive box truck as needed for up to 2-3 hours daily
• You will drive and maintain forklifts through daily inspection checklists and perform 5S+ housekeeping duties as necessary

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months experience operating material handling equipment preferred
• Experience using SAP, warehouse management system
• Experience with Microsoft applications (Office, SharePoint)

Position Criteria

• Ability to use good judgment when handling material with a safety focus
• Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to become certified in operation of forklifts to transport and locate equipment and materials to required areas.
