Job summary

O'Neal Steel is seeking a Material Handler for the Nashville, TN facility to load and unload material and move items within the warehouse. You will operate equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, stacker cranes and side loaders, and use various hand tools to prepare materials for shipment or processing.

The role requires reading a tape measure accurately and delivering high quality work to internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 2nd Shift (1:00PM-9:00PM) Monday–Friday.
• Candidate must pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• Experience operating material handling equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment including forklift, cranes, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc.
• Use hand tools such as grinder, bander, drill, hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench.
• Accurately read a tape measure.

O'Neal Steel has an opening for a (2nd Shift) Material Handler at our Nashville, TN facility.The Material Handler will load and unload material within a warehouse. Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, overhead cranes, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks or trains and within the storage facility. Has knowledge of commonly used practices, and procedures. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.What you will be doing:Operate a wide variety of material handling equipment including, but not limited to, forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc.Use a variety of hand tools including, but not limited to, grinder, bander, drill, hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, etc.Accurately read a tape measure.Provide high quality work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.**Must be able to work 2nd Shift (1:00PM-9:00PM) Monday - Friday.
