Job summary

Nidec Corporation in the United States is seeking a Material Handler to load/unload materials and support warehouse operations. You will use forklifts, hoists, and conveyors to move goods, with a high school diploma and 0–3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years of experience in material handling.
• Extensive product knowledge including full understanding of bills of materials.
• History of working safely and successfully in a team environment.
• Ability to plan and work without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan, order, deliver, and organize materials to support departments.
• Coordinate with supervisors to improve material flow, organization, and accuracy.
• Ensure replenishment levels for KanBan items are properly set and maintained.
• Operate power lift trucks safely, moving a variety of materials and products throughout the plant.
• Box, band, or secure loads for movement.
• Verify manufactured components are properly reported before moving to another department.
• Perform daily checks of lift truck to ensure all systems are functional and safety devices are in place.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
• Observe good safety practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or team leader.
