Summit Polymers is seeking a Material Handler to support production with timely material delivery, labeling, and storage. The role includes forklift operation, battery changes, and cross-functional warehouse tasks in a fast-paced facility.
The candidate must obtain a forklift license per OSHA and achieve a minimum Wonderlic Select Assessment score of 50. Participation in housekeeping and KanBan processes is essential for smooth operations.
JOB TITLE: Material Handler FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt
REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Materials (Warehouse)
Responsible for the handling and storage of materials for all departments, as well as housekeeping activities for warehouse and dock area. Responsible for operation of material handling equipment, fork trucks, and for changing fork truck batteries. Duties will also be cross-functional including shipping, receiving, label-making and inventory functions.
Requires the ability to obtain a forklift license per OSHA requirements.
Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.
This position typically does not require any travel.
