Mercury Marine is seeking a Support Tech II to join their team in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. This role involves operating forklifts and various equipment to support manufacturing operations, ensuring parts are prioritized for production needs.
Responsibilities include moving materials, maintaining safety standards, and supporting warehouse operations. The position offers a hiring rate of $26.49 per hour and benefits including medical, dental, and 401k options.
As a Support Tech II, you will join a dynamic team of the company's winning culture by supporting the Mercury Marine values of: Integrity, Customer Centricity, Product & Service Leadership, Sustainability, and Employee Engagement through the production of high quality inboard and outboard marine engines.
The Support Tech II job class includes a variety of roles. These include operating a forklift supporting various manufacturing operations (machining, coating, assembly, shipping, receiving, and warehouse). The job class also includes repack roles which are responsible for preparing small parts into appropriate containers to be delivered to the point of use on the assembly lines. There are also a variety of warehouse roles including receiving, shipping, and warehouse operations. These roles use forklifts, clamp lifts, and narrow aisle lift trucks to support various manufacturing operations. The narrow aisle lift trucks can go to a 40-foot working height. Daily tasks include indirect support of manufacturing operations for large and small part replenishment to the various machining cells, coating operations, and assembly lines. Equipment used to support manufacturing includes sit down forklifts, clamp lifts, narrow aisle forklifts, and some manual lifting devices. Support Tech II employees are expected to participate in daily 5S+1 activities maintaining a clean and organized work area to promote a safe work environment. Support Tech II roles are critical to our company’s success as they keep parts in front of the various manufacturing functions throughout the plant, helping to meet daily production goals.
