Job summary

Astronics AES in Redmond, WA is seeking a Material Handler on First Shift. Hours are Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm. This role involves moving freight, stocking materials, and supporting production lines in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include stock distribution, packing for shipping, shipping records, cycle counts, and cross-training in receiving. Forklift/pallet jack experience preferred; CDL not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of direct experience in material handling duties.
• Familiarity with ERP, inventory management and MRP systems.
• Proficiency with database, email and spreadsheet software.
• Ability to lift around 30 lbs and operate forklift/pallet jack.

Description

Astronics AES in Redmond, WA is hiring a Material Handler on First Shift. Hours are Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm.

JOB SUMMARY

The Material Handler will manually move freight, stock, or other materials or perform other general labor in relation to managing materials for the production line.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Stock and distribute products and materials in inventory warehouses and manufacturing lines
• Package and prepare products and merchandise for the shipping clerk.
• Prepare and maintain records of items shipped (i.e. purchase orders, manual shippers, and work orders)
• Perform daily cycle counts
• Periodically rotate in RECEIVING for cross training
• May drive a non-CDL box truck for deliveries
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrates familiarity of job duties (typically 1-2 years of direct experience in the duties and responsibilities of the position)

• Data base user interface and query software

Salary range is $20.12 - $27.22 per hour, dependant on experience. Mid-point is $23.67.

Quarterly Profit Sharing Bonus eligible.

Factors such as experience in comparable roles, skill set, training, education, certifications, other qualifications, market conditions, and business needs influence the actual salary offered. It is not typical to be hired at or near the top of the range.
