Job summary

PJ Trailers Inc. is seeking an experienced forklift operator to move trailers and materials within our facilities. You will operate a forklift with care to ensure efficiency and safety, driving around warehouses, on the production floor, and in the yard.

You will unload, locate, and transport materials, monitor for damages, and maintain accurate inventory records. A strong focus on safety and adherence to policies is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience operating a forklift.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to identify hazards and react appropriately.
• Ability to carry out duties unsupervised in harsh weather and irregular hours.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places.
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations.
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.
• Proven experience as forklift operator.
