Job summary

O'Neal Steel seeks a Material Handler (1st Shift) for our Jonesboro, AR facility. You will load and unload material, using forklifts, cranes, and conveyors to move items within a busy warehouse. The 1st shift runs Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm, with overtime as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely handling for internal and external customers. A valid forklift license is preferred; a criminal background check and drug test may be required after an offer.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a wide variety of material handling equipment including forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc.
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools including grinder, bander, drill, hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, etc.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Responsible for providing high quality work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.

Description

O'Neal Steel has openings for a Material Handler (1st Shift) at our Jonesboro, AR facility.

The Material Handler will load and unload material within a warehouse.Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts,overhead cranes, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks or trains and within the storage facility. Has knowledge ofcommonly usedpractices, and procedures. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
