Job summary

Pentair is hiring a Material Handler for the 1st shift in Simi Valley, CA. You will support the Materials team by picking and preparing orders, receiving, moving, and storing materials using forklifts and pallet jacks.

The role requires forklift experience and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds, with SAP/ERP experience preferred. Overtime and weekend work may be required; a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of prior forklift experience (stand up and sit-down).
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, twisting, lifting and lowering.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds continuously.
• Steel-toed footwear is required.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare orders for shipping using requisitions and sheets.
• Pack stock, take inventory, and report shortages.
• Maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Select orders, ensure correct shipping info, and move to shipping area.
• Seal and tag containers and sign pick tickets.
• Place containers on pallets and secure with wrap/straps.
• Operate forklifts, carts, and pallet jacks to move products.

Material Handler, 1st Shift - Simi Valley, CA

We have an opportunity for a Material Handler to join our Simi Valley, CA team. You will support the Materials team by picking and preparing orders, receiving, moving, and storing materials, utilizing equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

You will:

• Pick and prepare orders for shipping and utilize requisitions and order sheets to pick a wide variety of items.
• Pack incoming stock away, taking inventory and reporting shortages.
• Keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Pick orders as requested by management, ensure correct shipping information is attached, and move completed orders to shipping area.
• Seal and tag containers, confirming accuracy of orders and signing pick tickets to confirm.
• Place containers on pallets, secure with stretch wrap, shrink wrap, and strap containers to pallet.
• Pick, place, and load products using forklifts, carts, and pallet jacks.

Key Qualifications:

• Must have at least 1 year of prior forklift experience (stand up forklift and sit-down forklift)
• SAP/ERP experience preferred
• Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting and lowering weights.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds continuously throughout the day.
• Steel-toed footwear is required.

Shift/Hours:

• 1st shift: Monday - Friday, 6am-2:40pm (may work until 5pm depending on workload)
• Must be able to work overtime, on weekends, and outside of shift times as needed.

Compensation:

The hourly pay for this role is: $23.00/hour. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
