Job summary

Eaton is hiring a Material Handler for the 1st shift at the Emerald Road facility in Greenwood, SC. The position runs Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour, subject to experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities include receiving, storing, and distributing materials to support efficient production flow. Candidates should have manufacturing experience and forklift certification, plus familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Move materials within the plant using forklift to replenish stock.
• Identify and label material; perform daily cycle counts and bin checks.
• Maintain inventory records and complete required documentation (inventory spreadsheet, Kanban, etc.).
• Assist with quality checks on incoming material and staging of rejected items.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow 5S practices.

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Material Handler- 1st Shift at our Emerald Road facility in Greenwood, SC.The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. The hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 am until 2:30 pm.Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:The Material Handler must remain proficient in all operations involving handling material within the plant. They must be able to work closely with Group Leaders and Production Supervisors to maintain an efficient flow of materials to production. Work Safely to prevent on-the-job injuries. Report on-the-job injuries and unsafe acts or conditions to the Supervisor.Read, ensure all material is identified, labeled and perform daily cycle counts and bin checks as neededTake daily inventory of material and retrieve material from warehouse using a forklift to replenish stock within the department; load materials onto carts and deliver to appropriate areasReplace excess material to the proper pallet after completion of job, fill out Return to Stock form, and return material to warehouseFollow standard work by completing appropriate documentation: inventory spreadsheet, turn in consignment tickets, 5S+/TPM logs, daily housekeeping log, rejected material forms, Kanban board, etc.Perform quality procedures by checking incoming material product for general quality/function/appearance, Quality Alert items and Deviation to process; stage rejected material in MRB area after completing appropriate documentationKeep work area “tour ready” by performing 5S+ housekeeping activities dailyWork efficiently to achieve departmental goal for standard hours by keeping needed material on handIdentify improvements to current process and notify appropriate support (Supervisor/Group Leader) following the escalation process for all issues that aren’t resolvedQualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:Eaton does not provide immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
