Job summary

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions in Decatur, IL, is seeking a Material Handler on 1st shift. The role requires ensuring timely receiving, shipping, and material handling tasks under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor.

You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment, perform paperwork accurately, and maintain safety and quality standards. High school diploma and ability to read and write English are required; prior warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift for extended periods while following safety and warehouse procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Job description

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions is seeking to fill a Material Handler position in Decatur, IL. Pay is $19.00hr and this is a 1st shift position.

Overall Purpose

Under direction of the Shift Supervisor or Warehouse Team Lead, the HT Material Handler completes in a timely manner all receiving, shipping, and material handling functions as required.

Reports

Direct: Shift Supervisor and Site Manager Indirect: Area Manager/ Director of Operations

Responsibilities

• Sort material as needed
• Accurately and legibly fill out daily paperwork
• Perform record and time keeping activities as required
• Complete damaged goods reports and/or accident reports as required
• Use power and hand tools typically found in a warehouse environment
• Safely move, stage, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
• Operate a forklift for extended periods while following all safety, quality, and warehouse procedures
• Use powered industrial trucks and pallet jacks to move material within the work area
• Complete other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned

Work Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, or logistics environment preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and productivity.
