Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Material Handler to operate forklifts, overhead cranes and other equipment to receive, move and stage materials in our plant, yard or warehouse. You’ll participate in loading, unloading and organizing inventory while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

The role offers night shifts Sunday night through Friday morning with occasional overtime, and emphasizes training, growth and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials.
• Commitment to safety procedures and workplace rules.

We're looking for skilled and detail-oriented individuals to operate forklifts, overhead cranes or other mobile equipment to perform a variety of intermediate and complex activities such as receiving inventory, loading and unloading, as well as staging and moving raw materials and finished goods within or near plant, yard, warehouse or work site. Pay for this position is $20.84 plus a $2.00/hour shift differential. Standard hours are Sunday night-Friday morning 10:00pm-6:00am with some OT Required

What You'll Do

• Load Materials: Load and unload raw materials and finished goods onto or from pallets, industrial racks, trailers, trucks, etc.
• Transport Materials: Transports materials from storage or production areas and places in designated areas.
• Lift and Position Materials: Safely use lifting devices, such as cranes and forklifts, to position materials or parts as needed.
• Contribute to Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
• Maintain and Organize: Keep track of material inventory, perform machine maintenance, and support housekeeping and organizational standards, such as 5-S practices.
