# Material Handler 1Tipton - Martin Energy - Tipton, MO 65081## OverviewPosition TypeFull Time## Description**Position Summary**The Material Handler is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within the warehouse or facility. This role supports daily operations by ensuring materials are received, organized, and delivered to the appropriate locations to maintain workflow continuity and inventory accuracy.**Key Responsibilities*** Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks)* Receive incoming shipments, inspect for accuracy and damage, and verify against purchase orders* Store materials in designated locations to ensure organization, safety, and accessibility* Pick, pack, palletize, and stage materials for production or shipment* Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) or manual logs* Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits* Label, tag, and track materials to maintain proper identification and traceability* Coordinate with purchasing, production, and shipping teams* Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect items* Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment* Follow company policies and safety standards* Assist with process improvements## Qualifications**Job Requirements*** High school diploma or GED preferred* Basic understanding of inventory control* Ability to read work orders and shipping documents* Strong attention to detail and organization* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment* Strong communication and teamwork* Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs.**Preferred Qualifications*** Forklift certification* Experience with barcode scanners or RFID* Knowledge of ERP or inventory systems* Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments**Core Competencies*** Attention to detail* Reliability* Time management* Safety awareness* Teamwork* Problem-solving* 1–3+ years of warehouse or material handling experience preferred* Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks (certification preferred)* Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory systems)**Working Conditions*** Warehouse environment* Outdoor equipment use in all weather conditions* Exposure to varying temperatures* Standing, walking, lifting daily* Use of machinery and equipment
