Job summary

Dimplex Thermal Solutions in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a warehouse associate to handle material movement, loading/unloading, and routine warehouse tasks. The role requires operating forklifts, using an ERP system, and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• Unloading/loading with forklift or pallet jack.

• Picking work orders for production.
• Process put-away for receiving and stock movements.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks using forklift/Pallet jack
• Complete systems transactions using scanner and ERP system
• Label material and stock in appropriate locations
• Pick work orders for production
• Process put away for receiving
• Able to perform stock movements in the warehouse (Picking, put away, transfers)
• Assist in yearly physical inventory
• Deliver material in various locations of the plant
• Deliver KanBan material to production lines
• Breakdown cardboard and place in dumpster
• Keep outside material neat and free of debris and snow
• Safely and properly operate forklift, HiLo and/or other lift equipment
• Dump and track steel scrap from fabrication lines
• Observe all company rules and policies, i.e. safety, attendance
• Participate and work in a team atmosphere
• Maintain high productivity and quality workmanship
• Suggest design and procedure improvements that improve quality, productivity, and reduce cost
• May be asked to serve on various committees
• Responsible for keeping work area(s) clean and free of clutter during work time and at the end of shift 5S time
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
