Responsibilities

  • Assist assembly operations and inspect materials for shipment.
  • Maintain organized inventory locations and follow FIFO procedures.
  • Complete daily checklists and 5S housekeeping duties.

You'll safely move, store, and transfer materials — including forklift operation, inventory support, and assembly assistance — as part of our Materials team.WHAT YOU'LL DOConsistently demonstrate safe material handling and warehouse practices, including safe forklift operation within Fabrication and Warehouse areasProperly receive, move, stage, issue, and account for raw materials and production components, including picking, preparing, packing, and transferring for shipmentPerform daily inspections of all powered lift trucks and verify safe operating conditionCompetently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other approved material handling equipment, including bundling and palletizingAccurately identify material types, part numbers, heat numbers, and inventory labelsMaintain organized inventory locations and proper material storage practices, following FIFO and inventory control procedures where applicablePerform basic ERP/WMS transactions accurately, including navigating Mendix for manufacturing/catalog picking and BPCS for warehouse pickingAssist with assembly operations, including operating, monitoring, and inspecting assembly machines, tools, dip tanks, paint lines, impregnators, and related equipmentSupport quality assurance by inspecting and preparing materials/products for shipment, ensuring compliance with reliability and process control requirementsComplete all daily checklists and TPMs, and ensure area 5S duties are completedMaintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company safety standardsAccurately document work performed, inspection findings, and time and materials usedCommunicate with Line Leads, Shift Supervisors, Engineers, and Planners on equipment issues and production needsActively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve workplace efficiency, eliminate waste, and improve qualityWilling to unload trucks and transfer material from outside locations, including during inclement weather, and work overtime as business needs requireWHAT YOU NEEDHigh school diplomaPrevious forklift operation/certificationAbility to lift 45 pounds and perform tasks involving fine and gross motor skillsUnderstanding and application of workplace safety proceduresGood written and oral communication skillsAbility to work independently, efficiently, self-motivated, and detail orientedReliable attendance and strong teamwork skillsNICE TO HAVEExperience in a manufacturing/warehouse environmentComputer literacy with Microsoft Windows software; ability to use manual and electronic inventory systemsFamiliarity with SWI/SOP processesGood understanding of shop math andBilingual (English/Spanish)COMPENSATIONThe hourly pay range for this position is $20-24 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
