Job summary

Cardinal Scale Manufacturing, Co. is seeking a Material Handler in Webb City, MO to move raw materials, operate a forklift, and assist with basic assembly in the Punch Press Shop.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with preferred manufacturing experience. Expect full-time hours, 1st or 2nd shift, and benefits including PTO, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Two years manufacturing experience preferred, with crane/forklift use.

Responsibilities

• Loading, unloading steel and other materials from trucks or trailers and moving material within facility or yard.
• Opening containers using steel cutters, crowbars, or claw hammers.
• Load/unload parts onto pallets, trays, racks, or shelves; secure into vehicles.
• Forklift operation or training to operate forklift safely.
• Identify, store, stack, organize and stage product; assist with inventory counts.
• Janitorial duties including sweeping, cleaning, scrap removal.

Salary Range: $17.75 To $19.85 Hourly

Summary/Objective
The Material Handler position is responsible for basic entry level duties and responsibilities in the Punch Press Shop, regarding organization and tracking of raw materials which includes forklift operation, as well as general assembly.

Essential Functions

• Loading, unloading, of steel and other materials from flatbed trucks/trailers, and movement of material within the facility, yard, or work site.
• Opening of containers utilizing steel cutters, crowbars, claw hammers, etc.
• Load/unload parts onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves or secure into vehicles.
• Forklift operation or willing and able to be trained to safely operate a forklift
• Must identify, store, stack, organize and stage product, and assist with inventory counts.
• Sweeping, cleaning, removal of trash, and scrap, as well as various janitorial duties.
• Use of hand-operated hoist to assist in movement of material.
• Preventative maintenance as required, and other tasks as assigned.
• At times job can be very labor intensive.

Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 1st shift - 7:00am to 3:30pm, or 2nd shift – 3:30pm to midnight, 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
