Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a Material Handler for a first-shift role at the Hill Air Force Base area. You will support inventory, material movement, shipping/receiving, and stock replenishment in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Eligible candidates must be a U.S. citizen, able to obtain a security clearance, and meet ITAR/EAR access requirements. Full-time consultant position with a Monday–Friday schedule and base pay of $19 per hour.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required for site access.
• 2-4 years of experience with oral and written communication in a professional environment.
• Ability to accurately count, track, and organize materials and inventory.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently while following established procedures.
• Physically able to stand, walk, and perform labor-intensive tasks for the shift.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport materials within the facility and designated work areas.
• Support shipping and receiving operations as needed.
• Open containers and packages using hand tools.
• Count, weigh, and record inventory and material information accurately.
• Load and unload materials from pallets, racks, trays, conveyors, and equipment.
• Sort and place materials into designated Bench Stock Locations (BSL).
• Perform inventory counts and updates using a Windows-based tablet.
• Move materials using carts, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Stack, organize, and assemble materials for storage or distribution.
• Order replenishment materials using handheld scanners and tablet devices.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory control processes.
• Follow established safety procedures and quality standards.

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aviation industry organization to hire a Material Handler for a first-shift opportunity supporting operations at Hill Air Force Base. Position Details

• Job Title: Material Handler
• Location: Hill Air Force Base Area
• Schedule: First Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
• Employment Type: Full-Time Consultant
• Requirement:This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
  

What You'll Do

Please note: This is a labor-intensive position requiring standing and walking for the majority of the workday.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required for site access.
• 2-4 years of experience with:
  • Oral and written communication skills in a professional environment.
  • Microsoft Office/Microsoft Suite applications.
• Ability to accurately count, track, and organize materials and inventory.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently while following established procedures.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and remain on your feet throughout most of the shift.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior warehouse, logistics, inventory, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience.
• Experience using handheld scanners, tablets, or inventory management systems.
• Familiarity with aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or defense-related environments.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
