Job description

What you'll do:

  • Validate wire for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Manage wire inventory with routine checks and location inquiries.
  • Cut power trunk and smaller gauge wire using specially designed wire spooling machines.
  • Operate forklift equipment to load and unload large shipments.
  • Inspect wire shipments for damages, loss, or defects.
  • Read data lines on the wire to validate footage accurately.
  • Operate dolly, pallet jack, and forklift in loading and unloading.
  • Stock shelves and distribute materials within the warehouse.
  • Prepare wire orders for shipment according to customer requirements.
  • Package and ship items following packaging guidelines.
  • Report receipt and distribution of materials accurately.
  • Travel may be required for delivery or pickup of materials.

Who we are looking for:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Valid driver's license (CDL preferred)
  • Experience in warehousing/inventory (preferred)
  • Ability to operate utility trucks, equipment, and hand tools safely; forklift experience preferred
  • Knowledge of reading data lines on wire to validate footage
  • Ability to follow directions, produce quality work, and maintain safety standards
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed
  • Flexible to work overtime, weekends, and in all weather conditions
