Job summary

Dimar Manufacturing Corp in Clarence, NY is seeking a full-time material handler. The role loads, unloads, and moves materials within the facility to ensure timely access for shipping and production, with an evening shift Monday through Friday.

You will operate forklifts, cranes, hoists, and pallet jacks to load and transport materials, read work orders, and secure loads. Must have a high school diploma and 1–2 years manufacturing experience; valid forklift certification and driver's license are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be certified to operate forklift.
• Must possess a valid unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and move materials within the facility for prompt access to shipping/production.
• Operate lifting devices (forklifts, cranes, hoists, pallet jack) to load, unload, transport or stack material.
• Position lifting devices under/around pallets and secure material for transport to designated areas.
• Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to determine materials to move.
• May act as back-up driver for company truck.

• This is an evening shift position, Monday-Friday
• Operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, cranes, hoists, and pallet jack to load, unload, transport, or stack material.
• Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
• Reads work orders or follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved

• Maintain vehicles in good working condition.
• Communicate with others to coordinate material handling or movement.

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Able to work under pressure
• Able to follow directions precisely
• Must be certified to operate forklift and drive in a safe manner.
• Must possess valid unrestricted driver’s license

Special Requirements:

• Machine shop work environment; dust, grease and metal shavings common.
• Requires the use of the following personal protective equipment:
• safety glasses, steel toed shoes/boots.
• Must be able to:
• Work safely in a fast-paced environment
• Work overtime, including weekends as requested.
