Job summary

KPS Global is seeking a Material Handler to move, load and unload materials under supervision to meet quality and safety standards. You will use hand trucks, hoists and other tools to prepare products for production, shipping, or waste management, and maintain documentation per procedures.

The role requires reading and basic math skills, ability to understand English, and the physical capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma preferred.
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to demonstrate safe operation of material handling equipment.
• Must be able to stand/walk on concrete for the workday.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs alone or with assistance.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Must be able to work in a non-temperature controlled environment.
• Must wear all required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Moving, loading, and unloading materials under supervision.

• Constructing shipping containers and preparing products for shipment.
• Crating and/or banding products as required.
• Inspecting products for conformance to quality and customer requirements.
• Maintaining accurate electronic processes and paperwork (checklists, barcodes, shipping/receiving systems).
• Maintaining departmental housekeeping and 5S standards.

Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for moving, loading, and unloading material under immediate supervision in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. This role ensures that KPS Global is able to meet quality, safety, and productivity standards and satisfy customer requirements.

Major Responsibilities

• Performing duties in accordance with current Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and KPS Global Code of Conduct requirements
• Utilizing hand trucks, hoists, and other material handling equipment to move materials and products as needed for production, shipping, or waste management
• Operating hand tools including electrical and pneumatic powered tools
• Constructing shipping containers, preparing product for shipment, and crating and/or banding products as required
• Inspecting product to insure conformance to quality, engineering, and customer requirements
• Completing and maintaining accurate electronic processes and paperwork including checklists, stamping, blueprints, bar coding, and shipping/receiving systems
• Maintaining departmental housekeeping and 5S standards
