Job summary

GXO Logistics Supply Chain, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to support warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on moving materials, packing, scanning, labeling, and inventory management to ensure accurate fulfillment.

The position requires basic math, ability to read safety documents, and teamwork. You will use hand trucks and handheld scanners, maintain a clean 7S-compliant workspace, and work a Monday–Friday schedule with potential overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Move material and inventory throughout the facility to support operations.

• Perform packing, scanning, kitting or counting as part of daily tasks.
• Verify orders, label products and operate a handheld scanner.
• Adhere to the 7S program and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs and handle objects 3–5 feet as needed.

As a Material Handler, you will have an important role on our team helping us provide sophisticated supply chain solutions to our customers.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Support operations by moving material and inventory throughout the facility
• Use hand trucks, conveyors or other material handling equipment
• Perform duties that may include packing, scanning, kitting or counting products
• Verify orders, label products and use a handheld scanner
• Adhere to the 7S program
• Maintain a clean environment at all times
• Work in a safe manner that protects you and your team members

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

• To be at least 18 years of age
• The ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents

It'd be great if you also have:

• 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed
• Experience using a handheld scanner
• Positive attitude and the ability to work in a team to achieve goals and objectives

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 lbs.
• Handle or manage tools or equipment
• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
• Carry objects 3-5 feet weighing up to 75 lbs, routinely
• Stand for prolonged periods of time >4 hours
• Walk continuously for more than 10,000 steps (4-5) miles per day
• Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull objects of various shapes and sizes in team lift.
