SUMMARY
Receive, store, and issue equipment, material, supplies, merchandise, and tools. Compile stock records for stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure orderly distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product for final distribution.
- Contribute to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
- Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
- Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying items listed on production orders, supply requests, and material requests.
- Measure and cut cable/wire to fill production orders.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move materials onto and off vehicles for transport.
- Transport material or supplies to other departments.
- Deliver and pick-up material as required.
- Keep inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
- Determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.
- Store articles in bins, on floor or shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material.
- Maintain record of all materials issued.
- Perform weekly cycle counts.
- Review monthly report to maintain limited shelf‑life material.
- Close out and sign off on completed work orders.
- Follow safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
- Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and report any deviations to the appropriate area manager/supervisor.
AS9100/ISO SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Be familiar with and understand the company’s Quality Policy and objectives.
- Understand required AS9100/ISO specific procedures and work instructions.
- Complete all records required by procedures and work instructions.
- Participate in Atec continuous improvement activities such as strategic planning, AIM, and suggestion box.
- Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.
- Cooperate with auditors.
- Report any deviations to the appropriate area manager/supervisor.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or General Education Degree; or 1 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or combination.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Previous stock or inventory experience a plus.
- Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack a plus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Texas Driver’s License.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee is frequently required to stand, stoop, sit, kneel, walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.
