Job description

SUMMARY

Receive, store, and issue equipment, material, supplies, merchandise, and tools. Compile stock records for stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure orderly distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product for final distribution.
  • Contribute to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
  • Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
  • Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying items listed on production orders, supply requests, and material requests.
  • Measure and cut cable/wire to fill production orders.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move materials onto and off vehicles for transport.
  • Transport material or supplies to other departments.
  • Deliver and pick-up material as required.
  • Keep inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
  • Determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.
  • Store articles in bins, on floor or shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material.
  • Maintain record of all materials issued.
  • Perform weekly cycle counts.
  • Review monthly report to maintain limited shelf‑life material.
  • Close out and sign off on completed work orders.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
  • Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and report any deviations to the appropriate area manager/supervisor.
AS9100/ISO SPECIFIC DUTIES
  • Be familiar with and understand the company’s Quality Policy and objectives.
  • Understand required AS9100/ISO specific procedures and work instructions.
  • Complete all records required by procedures and work instructions.
  • Participate in Atec continuous improvement activities such as strategic planning, AIM, and suggestion box.
  • Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.
  • Cooperate with auditors.
  • Report any deviations to the appropriate area manager/supervisor.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree; or 1 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or combination.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • Previous stock or inventory experience a plus.
  • Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack a plus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employee is frequently required to stand, stoop, sit, kneel, walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.
