advatixinc is seeking a Material Handler to support our growing warehouse operations in Romeoville, IL. This role involves moving, locating, and storing materials using a forklift or other powered equipment, and ensuring accurate picking, packing, and documentation.

The ideal candidate has warehouse or manufacturing experience, a high school diploma or GED, and forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience required.
• Current forklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate power-operated equipment requiring certification.
• Accurately pick and pack items for shipment.
• Complete required paperwork and time-tracking.
• Restock items not needed short term per procedures.
• Coordinate with freight couriers for pickups/deliveries.
• Label, load, unload, and prepare items for shipment.
• Update Warehouse Management System with transactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist teammates to meet customer expectations.
• Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns.

Material Handler

Role Summary

We are seeking a Material Handler to join their rapidly growing team. The Material Handler is responsible for accurately moving, locating, and storing materials using a forklift or other powered equipment. The ideal candidate is a team player and has previous warehouse/manufacturing experience.

Key Results Areas

• Safe & efficient operation of all the power-operated equipment that requires certification
• Accurately pick and pack items for shipment, potentially with a forklift
• Complete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentation
• Ensure all items not needed short term are restocked according to established procedures
• Assist with contacting freight couriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
• Label and prepare items for shipment and load and unload trucks as needed
• Update the Warehouse Management system with transactions
• Perform daily safety checklist and standard battery charging procedures
• Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectations
• Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or three years of relevant warehouse experience required
• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is required

• Current forklift certification or the ability to become certified within 30 days required
• Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds alone and greater weights in a team-lift environment
• Capable of lifting, carrying, bending, stretching, and standing for long periods
• Able to climb ladders as needed
