Job Description

Join a high-performing team that is revolutionizing the wire and cable industry!We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support production and warehouse operations. This role is responsible for moving raw materials, maintaining warehouse organization, assisting with inventory, and ensuring a clean and safe workplace. The Material Handler plays a key role in supporting extrusion line efficiency and overall plant operations. This position is hourly and non-exempt status.

• Transfer raw materials to extrusion lines to facilitate ongoing production.
• Remove unused raw materials from extrusion lines, weigh, relabel, and return them to proper warehouse locations.
• Move empty reels, pallets, gaylords, and barrels to designated areas.
• Organize the warehouse efficiently to maximize space and minimize clutter.
• Distribute inbound receipts to the appropriate personnel or departments per company procedures and policies.
• Maintain plant cleanliness and organization through daily housekeeping tasks.
• Assist in monthly inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
• Promote workplace safety by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following all safety guidelines.
• Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks safely to move materials.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support warehouse and production operations.

WHAT you need to possess.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years of experience in a warehouse or related role preferred.
• Proficiency in time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Basic math aptitude including arithmetic, measurements, weights, and geometry.
• Experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely.
• Strong teamwork orientation with problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
• Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as business needs require.
