Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Olive Branch, MS, seeks a Third Shift Material Handler/Sanitation to move, count and stage product in a fast-paced warehouse. You’ll operate pallets, load/unload, and support sanitation duties on a 10:00pm–6:00am Sun-Thu schedule with overtime as needed.

Starting pay is $20.35 per hour, plus a $1.00 shift differential. Requires at least six months warehouse and forklift experience; high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 1 year in warehouse roles including order fulfillment and cross-training across inbound/outbound operations.
• Experience safely operating equipment such as an Electric Pallet Jack or RF Scan Gun is required or willingness to be trained.
• Ability to stand up to 90% of shift and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Sanitation, Custodian or Janitor experience in a warehouse environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Physically load product onto equipment, pallets or totes for >20% of shift.
• Put-away and pick products for shipment; ensure correct quantity and type per customer orders.
• Verify labeling, quantity and address against orders to ensure accurate shipments.

Position: Third (3rd) Shift Material Handler/ Sanitation
Shift: 10:00pm-6:00am , Sunday-Thursday . Overtime required based on business needs.
Pay: $20.35

Plus: $1.00 shift differential

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:

• A minimum of (1) one year's experience in the following:
• Order Fulfillment as an Order Picker and Packer - to include cross-trained skills across multiple departments - inbound, outbound, auto store, domestic and international shipping, receiving.
• Preparing product for safe shipment and verifying accuracy utilizing using computer, shipping label and/or packing list.
• Experience safely operating an Electric Pallet Jack and RF Scan Gun, or willingness to be trained to use this equipment, is required.
• Sanitation, Custodian, or Janitor role within a Warehouse or Distribution environment is required.
• Job duties include general sanitation and custodial tasks within the facility warehouse, breakroom and bathrooms, breaking down cardboard boxes, and picking up trash from parking lot.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time.? The position will require standing for up to 90% of the shift.
• Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift

Role Purpose:

Responsible for operating powered equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product. Responsible for checking all inbound and outbound products. Ensures products are free of damage and infestation, product code dates are properly recorded and products match customer requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

• Physically load product onto equipment, pallets or totes more than 20% of specified shift.
• Put-away and pick product for shipment or stock. Insure the exact number and type of products, ordered by the customer, are checked and loaded correctly.
• Compare the quantity, quality, labeling, and address with the customer’s order to ensure outgoing product shipments are complete and correct.
• Changes equipment battery or LP tank and monitors power source as necessary.
• Verify and report discrepancies such as non-available products and OS&D.
• Maintain the facility and the facility’s equipment in a neat, clean, orderly fashion. Inspect all operated equipment daily.
• Complete daily inspection of equipment.
• Assist in physical inventories.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience, prefer
