Job summary

Ryerson, a leading metal products provider, joins Norlen as a Material Handler. You will stage, pack, and pick material for shipments, using forklifts and SAP to confirm orders.

Successful candidates will enroll in a registered apprenticeship during onboarding, and join a safety‑conscious team focused on accuracy, productivity, and continuous learning in a dynamic warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Must pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum 2 years of similar job experience preferred.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills and/or comfort using a computer.
• Physical ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Successful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program as part of their onboarding and new hire training.

Responsibilities

• Picking and staging feedstock for fulfillment orders.
• Breaking down bulk bundles for customer-specific orders.
• Packaging of material to customer requirements.
• Operating a sit-down or side loader forklift to move material as needed.
• Proper completion of paperwork and SAP work order confirmation for shipping/receiving on the computer.
• Maximum productivity for finished goods creation.

As a Material Handler at Norlen, part of Ryerson famil of companies, you will be responsible for day-to-day staging, packing, and picking material for shipments using proper equipment.
