Scotts Miracle-Gro is seeking a Material Handler to support our Medway, ME facility. This hourly role offers weekly pay and begins at $18.05 per hour, with potential shift differential and overtime.

You will move materials, operate hand tools, and help maintain a clean, safe work area in a manufacturing setting. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, stacking inventory, securing loads for transport, and assisting with simple repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• Willing to work any shift schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Able to perform physical tasks for extended periods, including heavy lifting (≥50 lbs).
• Able to work in a dusty environment and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move materials within plant or yard using hand tools and equipment.
• Open containers with hand tools as needed and prepare materials for shipment or processing.
• Load materials onto pallets and secure for transport; use hand truck, dolly, or crane as needed.
• Keep work area clean; perform simple adjustments or repairs to conveyors or equipment.
• Assemble crates or containment for products using basic tools and precut lumber.
• Support machine operators by ensuring a steady flow of materials and proper storage.

Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.The Material Handler works in our Scotts manufacturing facilities. The person in the Material Handler position is responsible for ensuring organic or chemical materials flow through the shakers and mixers. They may perform housekeeping to insure that material does not accumulate, remove scrap material, and re-stack inventory.
