Job summary

MCG in Virginia is seeking a Material Handler to safely transport materials between departments with strong attention to detail and efficient performance under minimal supervision.

You will operate forklifts, inspect materials, label and store items, read work orders, and maintain records while following safety protocols in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years' experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred.
• Forklift certification required.
• Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch throughout a 10-hour day.
• Have reliable attendance. Be responsible and dependable at work.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.

• Strength to carry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to work in both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Working Conditions

Warehouse/Shop floor environment. May require occasional overtime to meet production deadlines.
