Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in New Hudson, MI is seeking a Material Handler to move raw materials and finished goods within the facility. You will stock materials, scan items with handheld devices, and support production lines while following work instructions.

Responsibilities include operating a fork truck safely, transferring materials between locations, and ensuring inventory integrity. A high school diploma and at least 1 year of warehousing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of material handling experience preferred, including fork truck driving.
• Must lift and move materials, up to 50 lbs regularly.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Safety and quality come first in all tasks.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Follow job/work instructions and report incidents promptly to supervisor.
• Sort, organize, and store dunnage returned from customers.
• Move raw goods and in-process product between locations and production lines.
• Load bins and bin contents into production lines and use handheld scanners.
• Assemble raw goods such as boxes and spools as needed.
• Work across departments as directed to support operations.

Job description

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement of raw materials to/from different departments and process areas. You will handle the scanning and stocking of materials and be responsible to follow the processes as described by the job/work instructions. You will report to the Production Supervisors.

You will

• Safely operate a fork truck/hi-lo to move product throughout the manufacturing facility
• Stock raw material, move completed material to storage or shipping locations, and stock line side rack
• Work within different departments as directed
• Sort, organize, arrange, and store dunnage returned from customers
• Moving of raw goods to and from inventory location to point of use
• Moving of in-process product among work centers
• Loading of bins and bin contents into production lines
• Electronic locating and transferring of raw goods and finished product with the use of hand held scanners
• Assembly of raw goods such as boxes and spools
• Report any and all incidents involving fork truck/hi-lo accidents promptly to supervisor or SHEQ
