Job summary

PennEngineering is seeking a Material Handler at our PROFIL - Waterford location. The role requires forklift operation to supply materials to manufacturing departments, pulling materials from processes, and transacting movements in the ERP system.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks and maintaining a clean work area per 6-S standards. Qualified candidates will have forklift experience, ability to read part routers, basic computer skills (Word/Excel), and ERP (JDE) familiarity.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation knowledge and material handling experience.
• Ability to read part routers and understand their process.
• Basic computer skills including email and MS Office.
• ERP (JDE) experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supply materials to all manufacturing departments.
• Pull finished material from machines and log movements in ERP.
• Load and/or unload trucks as needed.
• Maintain clean work area per 6-S standards (including floor scrubbing).

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• To supply all materials to all manufacturing departments
• Pull finished material from machines and transact all product in ERP system from one process to the next
• Load and/or unload any trucks as needed
• Maintain clean work area within company 6-S standards. This includes running the floor scrubber in all main aisles of the facility

Safety

• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Follow all safety requirements to avoid injury to self and fellow employees
• Create and maintain a safe work environment; repair and/or report non-conformances to company safety policies and guidelines
• Perform the necessary safety requirements to avoid injury to self and fellow employees
• Clean, professional, and well-kept manufacturing plant

Physical Demands

• 70% of the time sitting
• will require walking and standing as well for 10 hr. shift
• Lifting, pushing, or pulling of up to 30 lbs. regularl y
• Attention to detail is required

Education and Experience Required

• 1 yr. forklift experience preferred
• Ability to read part routers and understand their process
• Basic computer skills; email, Microsoft Office; Word, Excel
• ERP (JDE) experience is preferred

Position Type/Expectations of Working Hours

• Hourly position
• Monday through Friday, minimum 8 working hours daily
• O ccasional Saturday when necessary
