Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking an experienced Material Handler at the Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. In this role, you will handle and move field service equipment, operate industrial lift trucks, and perform transactions in SAP.

Job description

About the Role

We have a great contract opportunity for an experienced Material Handler at the Waltz Mill / Madison, PA facility. You will work onsite reporting to the Material Handling Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle and move field service equipment and facility support at the Waltz Mill Service Center.
• Perform movement transactions in SAP and deliver product to internal customers using fork trucks or other means such as a Jockey Truck.
• Operate powered industrial lift trucks and other equipment to transport equipment and shipping containers at Waltz Mill site.
• Operate the Terminal Tractor (Yard Jockey) to move semi-trailers within Service Center Area and throughout the Waltz Mill site.
• Load and unload trucks transporting containers and equipment to and from the Waltz Mill site.
• Prepare, inspect, mark, label and weigh shipping containers for shipment.
• Track equipment and container locations as they are transported throughout the Waltz Mill site.
• Maintain records of container certification and inspection of shipping containers.
• Inspect handling equipment before use and daily for operation readiness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience operating powered industrial lift trucks with no history of accidents.
• Class A driving experience and clean driving record.
• Comfortable with backing and operating heavy machinery.
• Yard maintenance or forklift experience.
• Basic computer skills for using SAP transactions and material tracking scanning equipment.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary estimated at $22-$24 per hour, dependent on experience, qualifications, and skills.
