Job summary

Johnson Controls in Texas is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support receiving, put-away, picking, and material handling in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and computers to process transactions and maintain accurate inventory.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge of shipping procedures and inventory movement principals.
• Basic knowledge of inquiry and entry on the computer.
• Ability to drive a forklift.
• Identify parts and part numbers and perform math at a level normally acquired through completion of high school.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to understand stocking of inventory product procedure and the movement of inventory product.
• As a condition of employment, active participation in a Continuous Improvement Team is required.

PERCENT OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Lifting 50 lbs.(frequently), Standing (constant), Walking (constant), Bending (frequently), Reaching (constant), Grasping (constant),Hearing (constant), Communicating with co-workers (frequently). Must understand and follow safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Must follow written and oral instructions.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS

Manufacturing – Exposure to noise, dirt, dust, cold/heat.

HIRING HOURLY RATE

$18.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
