Job summary

Atterro is hiring a Material Handler in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves receiving, storing, moving, and delivering materials to support production and shipping. You will operate forklifts and other equipment, verify inventory, and maintain accurate records in SAP and related systems.

The position requires at least 2 years in warehouse roles, a high school diploma or GED, and basic computer skills. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years in warehouse/material handling/logistics.
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other powered industrial equipment.
  • Experience with inventory management systems such as SAP or similar software.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to read material numbers, lot numbers, labels, and shipping documentation.
  • Experience in manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, identify, store, move, stage, and deliver materials throughout the facility.
  • Verify material numbers, lot numbers, quantities, labels, and documentation before moving inventory.
  • Operate forklifts, Drexel equipment, pallet jacks, drum lifters, scissor lifts, scales, and label printers.
  • Deliver materials to production and packaging areas while supporting on-time operations.
  • Return unused materials to proper storage locations and maintain inventory rotation practices.
  • Support shipping and receiving activities, including staging and preparing shipments.
  • Complete SAP and inventory transactions for receipts, transfers, returns, cycle counts, and inventory adjustments.
  • Perform cycle counts, research discrepancies, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Maintain stock labels, storage locations, and material traceability.
  • Support inventory audits and report damaged materials or inventory issues.
  • Safely handle hazardous materials according to established procedures.

Schedule: Monday – Friday

  • 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM AND 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM Rotating

  • Communicate effectively with warehouse, production, quality, shipping, and supply chain teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution experience is preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures, warehouse documentation, or Lean warehouse practices is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and safe work habits are well positioned for success as a Material Handler.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive material handling tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely move products using manual or powered material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in warehouse or manufacturing environments while following established safety procedures.
