Job summary

Algas-SDI in Kent, WA is seeking a Material Handler to support manufacturing by moving materials from Receiving to Inventory and Production. The role includes operating forklifts and company vehicles, maintaining inventory accuracy in the ERP system, and providing strong internal customer service to the Production team.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in a manufacturing or warehouse setting, a high school diploma, and the ability to work a Friday–Monday schedule from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or production environments.
• Customer service mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record; operate company vehicles as needed.
• RF scanners and ERP systems experience preferred.
• Receiving or shipping experience is a plus; forklift certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform material handling with forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Receive, store, and move products using RF scanners.
• Pull parts from work orders and deliver to Production.
• Process inventory transactions in the ERP system (issues, adjustments, transfers, scrap).
• Support Production with material and parts requests in a timely manner.
• Conduct daily cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Verify correct locations and quantities of parts.
• Transport materials between locations using company vehicles.
• Safely operate company vehicles per policy and law.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow safety procedures and material handling practices.

Material Handler

About the Role

As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in supporting our manufacturing operations by ensuring materials and components flow efficiently from Receiving to Inventory and Production. This position provides critical internal customer service to the Production team while maintaining accurate inventory records and locations within our ERP system.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role also includes driving company vehicles to transport materials, parts, and supplies as needed.

What You'll Do

• Perform material handling duties using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Receive, store, and move products and materials using RF scanners.
• Pull parts from work order pick lists and deliver materials to Production as needed.
• Use the ERP system to process inventory transactions, including issues, adjustments, transfers, and scrap.
• Support Production by responding promptly to material and parts requests.
• Perform daily cycle counts and help maintain inventory accuracy.
• Verify parts are stored in the correct locations and quantities.
• Transport materials, parts, and supplies between company locations or as needed using company vehicles.
• Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and material handling practices.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, fulfillment center, or production environment required.
• Customer service-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate a forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record and ability to safely operate company vehicles as required.
• Experience with RF scanners and ERP systems preferred.
• Previous receiving or shipping experience is a plus.
• Forklift or other material handling certifications are a plus.
