Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Support Environmental Health & Safety for the facility.
  • Provide all departments with needed materials in a timely manner.
  • Move, locate and stage all finished goods and raw materials.
  • Properly identify materials and verify tags match material.
  • Ensure material is properly located and/or moved physically.
  • Document all material and supply transactions accurately.
  • Load or unload trailers/containers as needed.
  • Manage waste rolls and scrap efficiently.
  • Perform cycle counts as needed.
  • Assist in physical inventories.

Job Description
  • Support Environmental Health & Safety for the facility, following all current policies and procedures and making an effort to improve the Environmental Health and Safety performance of our facility.
  • Provide all departments with needed materials in a timely manner.
  • Move, locate and stage all finished goods, raw materials, work in process and supplies to the warehouse or manufacturing departments in a neat and orderly fashion that prevents damage or contamination.
  • Properly identify material with Handling Unit (HU) and skid tags and verify tags match material.
  • Ensure material is properly located and/or moved physically as well as electronically.
  • Document all material and supply transactions accurately, manually and electronically.
  • Load or unload trailers/containers as needed.
  • Manage waste rolls and scrap, move waste to compactors or recycling staging areas, gather and bale loose junk or startup rolls and load the scrap trailer and record weights.
  • Perform cycle counts as needed.
  • Empty pallets from presses, gather and stack outside neatly.
  • Run material staging report in SAP or RF application. System will list material needed by HU and work center. Material needs to be scanned to proper location. Material to be given out by FIFO.
  • Gather and bale loose scrap from presses and slitters.
  • Provide assistance outside the immediate area of responsibility when needed.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
