Job summary

CTDI is seeking a Material Handler in Inver Grove Heights, MN to perform pick/pack/ship duties in a fast-paced warehouse. The role requires basic computer literacy and a high school diploma, with a 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Pay rate is $19.52 per hour, with benefits including health and vision insurance, 401(k), and more.

You will handle packaging, labeling, and documentation while maintaining safety and quality standards in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to operate standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Execute packing, unpackaging, put away, sorting, staging, picking and shipping of materials.
• Inspect and prepare units for production and maintain accurate records.
• Follow safety regulations and keep a clean, organized workstation.
• Complete required paperwork and digital records promptly.
• Assist with labeling and color-coding for easy identification.

A Material Handler (pick/pack/ship) performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies.

1st Shift: 7:00AM - 3:30PM, Monday - Friday

Pay Rate: $19.52

Duties and Responsibilities

• Executes foundational tasks within a warehouse environment including but not limited to: packaging, unpackaging, put away, sorting, staging, picking, shipping and preparing units for production.
• Cut open boxed inventory in the storage area or on the rack.
• Place open boxes on the appropriate shelf of the flow rack.
• Walk the length of the flow rack.
• Wrap cords neatly and securely, ensuring they are tangle-free.
• Assist with labeling, tagging, or color-coding wrapped cords as needed for easy identification.
• Consistently meet or surpass daily production and quality goals.
• Complete required paperwork, forms, or digital records accurately and promptly for documentation purposes.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation.
• Responsible for following warehouse safety regulations.
• All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
• Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Clerical skills.
• Written and verbal communication skills.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Warehouse environment.
• Stand dynamically for long periods.
• Use hands and fingers to handle and/or feel; the ability to type, pick, pinch with fingers, seize, hold, grasp or turn with hands.
• Lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Push and/or pull up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Reach up and out with hands and arms
• Occasionally required to climb stairs or ladders.
