Job description

Ag Processing Inc is currently hiring for a Material Handler at our Hastings soy processing facility. This person will be responsible for unloading tank cars, trucks and helping with the shipment of products. The material handlers will also occasionally perform quality control testing on materials and operate drive switches, locomotive/track mobile engines, forklifts, and other types of moving equipment.

Responsibilities :
  • Official loading of product to railcars and trucks
  • Provide official quality control testing
  • Provide professional customer service
  • Learn start-up and shutdown procedures for equipment
  • Recommend improvements for efficiencies, quality and/or method of operation
  • Participate on committees for safety, projects, sanitation, and quality improvement
  • Assure proper communication with coworkers, superiors and other departments
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Maintain plant safety, cleanliness and work rules
  • Perform other duties as assigned
