Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a motivated Material Handler to perform material handling on the manufacturing floor, coordinate with departments to follow schedules, stage loads, palletize, wrap, and prepare shipments.

A High School diploma, forklift certification, basic math, and English literacy are required. You should be mechanically inclined, well organized, able to train others, and capable of working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform material handling on the manufacturing floor, safely across departments.
• Work with department teams to follow schedules to meet material handling responsibilities.
• Stage loads of product.
• Pallet management including removal and placement for palletizing.
• Stretch-wrap loads to prepare for shipment.
• Corrugate at packing end of gluers.
• Palletize and wrap the roll cores for transportation.
• Load roll cores on scrap trailer.
• Dispose of printed waste once teams have documented the waste.
• Help teams keep area neat and clean: sweep, re-pile pallets, fix broken pallets, etc.
• Complete daily forklift maintenance and communicate problems to warehouse crew.
• Notify warehouse when dumpster is full.
