Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is hiring for a 3rd shift Warehouse Associate at our Oakwood, Georgia Plant. You will work onsite from 11 PM to 7:15 AM, Monday through Friday, handling heavy lifting and palletizing paint products. Training on 1st-3rd shifts for at least 3 months is available.

Safety gear and strict procedures apply. The role involves loading trucks, inspecting products, and data entry using RF devices.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to follow detailed instructions and document processes.
  • Able to practice safe material handling techniques and know load weights.
  • Experience with loading trucks and pallet wrapping is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Unload materials into the facility and handle hazardous materials as needed.
  • Pick and palletize paint products, including full and customized pallets.
  • Load finished goods onto trucks for shipment or transfer to distribution facilities.
  • Inspect for leaks, missing labels, or damaged cans and report issues.
  • Record data using computers, radios, and RF equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and assist others as required.

Job description

ou will work onsite at the Oakwood, Georgia Plant on a 3rd Shift from 11PM to 7:15 AM-Monday through Friday.

Hourly Rate is 20.16 $ phr, with a shift differential of 1.00$.

Flexibility to be trained on 1 st, 2 nd or 3 rd shift for 3 months at minimum is helpful but not required.

This is a very physical position, with regularly heaving lifting between 50-80 lbs throughout your day-and we want to make sure we are being as transparent as possible with the responsibilities/ requirements.Major Responsibilities:
  • Unload materials coming into facility and be familiar with proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Fills orders by picking product, both full pallet and customized picked pallet per order. Picking product requires pulling product from location by hand, then building of pallets of paint.
  • Loads trucks with finished goods for customer shipment or to other distribution facilities. Ensures all dock and safety procedures are completed prior to entering truck.
  • Looks for visible defects, such as leaks, no labels, dented cans, and other non-conforming items.
  • Recordkeeping and collection of data utilizing computers, radios and RF equipment.
  • Complete regular inspection of equipment, maintain clean and neat work area and assist others as needed.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Essential Functions/Requirements:
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and, requiring solid reading skills necessary to document processes and activities
  • Ability to learn, master and practice safe material handling techniques, including proper operations, aware of weights of loads, that pallets are straight and properly wrapped, etc.
  • Ability to learn truck loading techniques and load planning.
  • Ability to understand bill of lading as it relates to the load shipped.
  • Climbing ladders and stairs and around equipment.
  • Required to bend, reach paint containers, stack pallets and make adjustments of equipment and other related tasks.
  • Ability to utilize computers, master computer programs and collect and use data collected.
  • Ability to work from heights up to 20-35 feet and to follow all safety rules and procedures.
  • Frequent and repetitive lifting of materials weighing 10 - 75 pounds, with some items weighing in at 120 pounds.
  • Squatting, Lifting with legs and arms, using Safe Lifting Posture is a must.
  • Protective gear including gloves, safety glasses and other PPE as required.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment including Order picker, Swing reach, Forklift, and pallet jacks.
