What you'll do:
- Validate wire for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Manage wire inventory with routine checks and location inquiries.
- Cut power trunk and smaller gauge wire using specially designed wire spooling machines.
- Operate forklift equipment to load and unload large shipments.
- Inspect wire shipments for damages, loss, or defects.
- Read data lines on the wire to validate footage accurately.
- Operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift for loading and unloading.
- Stock shelves in the warehouse.
- Pull spools/materials and distribute them to their designated areas.
- Prepare wire orders for shipment according to the pick ticket and customer requirements.
- Package and ship following packaging guidelines and accepted practices.
- Provide accurate reporting on receipt and distribution of materials.
- Travel to other markets for delivery or pickup of materials, as needed.
Who we are looking for:
- At least 18 years old
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred)
- Experience in warehousing/inventory (preferred)
- Ability to operate utility trucks, equipment, and hand tools safely; forklift experience preferred
- Knowledge in reading data lines on wire for footage validation
- Ability to follow directions, produce quality work, and maintain safety standards
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed
- Flexibility to work overtime, after hours, weekends, and in all weather conditions
