Job summary

YKK AP America Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to support production and distribution across locations. You will unload trucks, stock materials, pick and prepare customer orders for shipment, and load outbound trucks to meet customer needs.

Summary:

Our Material Handlers are an important part of the production team. They support our different locations and create smooth sailing for the team, while maintaining production and distribution of our product to meet our customer needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Unloads trucks and stocks materials
• Picks and prepares customer orders for shipment
• Loads outbound trucks
• Maintains inventory and cycle count accuracy; troubleshoots inventory accuracy issues

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Education/Experience/Skills:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus 5 years of shipping experience in a warehouse environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proper lifting techniques required
• Be vigilant about safety
• Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and is expected to use proper lifting techniques at all times. Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. The employee may occasionally be required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
