Job summary

Tenn-Tex Plastics, Inc., part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking a production/materials associate to support raw material handling, machine feeding, and general production operations at our Colfax, NC facility.

You will monitor material levels, measure and mix materials, maintain equipment and a clean, safe workspace, and assist with general production tasks as needed. We offer equal opportunity employment and a path to growth within a Berkshire Hathaway-backed company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Dependability and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Service production machines with raw plastic materials as needed.
• Identify, measure, and mix raw materials according to established specifications.
• Monitor material levels and replenish materials to support continuous production.
• Clean and maintain hoppers, grinders, dryers, and related equipment.
• Move raw materials, supplies, and finished goods throughout the facility using approved material handling methods.
• Transport finished products to designated warehouse and staging areas.
• Verify materials and products are properly identified and stored.
• Assist with inventory organization and material control activities.
• Cover machine operator breaks as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and operating guidelines.
• Assist with additional production support activities as needed.
