Responsibilities

  • Enter all raw material movements into the computer.
  • Ensure warehouse handling equipment is in good operating order.
  • Maintain organization in raw material storage racks and receiving area.
  • Locate appropriate products and prep warehouse locations for production runs.
  • Maintain product sort and location status.
  • Check item codes and quantities on production tags.
  • Complete tag manifest sheets.
  • Transfer products to maintain space for production and outbound distribution.
  • Perform receiving duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Remove finished goods from production departments. Keep finished goods area organized to ensure inventory and shipping efficiency. Responsible for production raw material movement from receiving section to storage racks and supply the production departments with the raw materials needed.

Specific Responsibilities
Examples of key duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature
  • Make sure the raw materials requested through the work and requisition orders are put in the designated area in the production department.
  • Return unused raw materials to their original warehouse location.
  • Computer entry of all raw material movement.
  • Ensure that all warehouse handling equipment are in good operational order.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in raw material storage racks and receiving area.
  • Locate appropriate product to be produced and prepare warehouse locations accordingly.
  • Maintain product sort and location status.
  • Check production tags for item code and item quantity accuracy.
  • Complete tag manifest sheets.
  • Transfer products in warehouse to maintain organization and to ensure space for products to be ran as needed.
  • Transfer distribution orders of finished goods to warehouse.
  • Receiving duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned
Experience
  • Must have previous manufacturing and/or warehouse experience.
EDUCATION
  • High school graduate or GED equivalency required
Skills
  • Strong math skills.
  • Ability to learn and operate computer according to company programs.
  • Attention to detail with excellent organizational and communicational skills.
  • Safe operation of all warehouse equipment including tow motor, computer, calculator, scales, battery chargers, and plastic wrap machine.
  • Read and use work order pick lists.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures
